So the NSV knight rider light bar is made for 2019 and under and the reason it will not fit the 2020 is only because of the switch panel. I’m here to tell you it CAN work! ...with a few modifications....

First off, the install was the same. I followed the Headlight Revolution video and did not have much problems. I removed only the battery to install the headlight connection. I then looked at the other visible connectors to see how they worked and used a screw driver and my hand to get it off. (I got lucky cause I got it on the second try)

The 12 pin connectors suck but once I realized they only “click” if you put them in one way it became easy.

As for my stock Switch panel I had the following:

auxiliary usb- charged my phone but also used to connect to CarPlay/other media

    Two 2.1A usb chargers

    Traction control off button

    Parking censors button

    empty slot

    cigarette lighter

The new NSV switch panel has three built in switches (lightbar, swipe, DRL) two empty slots and a cigarette lighter slot. it also has a small logo square in the middle

My original plan for the NSV switch panel was to use the two empty slots for my traction control and parking censor buttons, buy the NSV double USB lighter thing to replace the lighter which would cover being able to charge my phones. I was also hoping I could some how wire my aux usb into the double USB on one of the slots.

Overall I would loose one USB slot but I don’t really need three. I also thought about running the aux usb into the center console sticking out if I couldn’t get it attached to the double USB.

I was also planning on cutting out the center square logo to put the switch for my Diode Dynamic 42inch stealth bar.

Once I got the Switch panel I had to change things up. This is what I ended up doing....

On the left side of the panel are the three switches for the NSV light bar that come with the panel. On the two empty slots I did put my traction control and parking censor buttons but I did have to modify the slots. If you have never taken out one of these OEM buttons they have a frame around them that has two or three grooves on the side that are supposed to slide into groves on the panel. My buttons did not match up with the grooves on the panel so I used my dremel tool to cut a small groove on each slot in the panel to make it fit.

When it came to the double usb, I couldn’t figure it out. It did not come with directions and I couldn’t find any online. I asked headlight revolution via a chat on here for some sort of guidance with no luck. I do think older models (2019 and under) may have had different wiring? So for now I just put in the cigarette lighter again but will still try to figure that double USB.

For the center logo square I first cut it out and put my round switch for the stealth bar but when I started looking at the aux usb I realized a few things.

    1. there was very little slack with this thing, probably less than any other wire behind the panel. Originally it was on the far left side of my OEM panel. I could barely stretch it to the middle of the panel

    2. for the life of me I could not find an extension for this wire to run it to the center console

because of this I cut the entire center square logo out and put my aux usb in there instead. The issue I ran into here is this square is not made for any buttons so there is not a molded slot behind the panel with groves like the others so even if I cut the groves there is nothing for it to “snap” into and be secure. I ended up putting a little gorilla glue around the back side and it is pretty solid.

For the Diode dynamics button I tried a lot of things including seeing if I could fit it on the top of the panel(the slanted part) or the bottom curved part but because of what’s behind the panel it just wouldn’t fit. I ended up just putting it under the steering wheel under the alarm light and above the tire pressure reset button like this

Word is they are working on a new panel for the 2020 but I jumped on that 20% off thing they had figuring I could make it work.

hope this helps anyone wondering about it.

Looks good. Do you plan on keeping your stock panel?
