Hey all - searched the forums but didn't see anything specific to the 2.5 Gen Pro.

What is your payload capacity on the door jamb?

I've heard it's reduced by a few hundred lbs and imagine it's because of the softer off-road suspension, but curious what the actual numbers are...

It's going to be really close to 1400.

A TRD Pro has the same GVW as other tundra trims, it just weighs a little more out of the gate. Payload just equals GVM minus curb weight, so the payload decrease is due to the vehicle being a little heavier, not due to a reduction in spring force or chassis limitations.

Don't know if this gives you any idea but my plain jane 21 SR5 4x4 CM with the 38 gal tank package, port installed bedliner, floomats, locking tailgate and owners manuals yellow tags at 1253. I do have the steelies, stealing about 40 pounds of payload.

I'd be thrilled it if it was this high, but I've heard closer to 1,100-1,200 for the Pro trims...

Realistically - if it's 1,100, 1,200, or 1,400, will that make any practical difference?

what are you planning to use it for?

I carry about 500lbs of constant weight between gear for work, recovery gear, and eventual camper shell. My current truck's payload is 1,220 and it's a straight-up bouncy castle with all that. I'll use the truck for hunting, camping and daily driving in NorCal/Northern Nevada. Lots of mining roads, etc.

So more payload gives me a better offset for that gear's weight. Regardless of what it ends up being I'll likely add the HD RAS, which according to other threads should give the right balance of maintaining off-road chops but offsetting some of that weight.

I roll around at 7,000 lbs with just me and my daily gear. I wouldn't let a sticker deter you.
