2020 & 2021 owners, do the callers on the other end report echo using CarPlay?

Basically title.

My 2017 Raptor had CarPlay but it was wired only, and my callers did not report any echo and reported the sound quality as clear.

My 2016 Tundra SR5 has very clear Bluetooth quality as reported by others I talk to.

If I try to use CarPlay through an aftermarket head unit, the callers on the other end report their voices echoing back to them.

I'm past troubleshooting at this point I think so I’m just looking for answers if the factory 2020-2021 CarPlay radio has this issue, wired or wireless. Thanks in advance.

 

I’m told mine sounds good. I’ve tested with Toyota app/bluetooth only, wired CarPlay, and my wireless CarPlay adapter.

I have an aftermarket pioneer 7600nex in my 4R and ppl occasionally complain about the audio quality hearing me on that (using wireless CarPlay mostly). It’s great on my end though.

 

Okay that helps. Any chance you’d be willing to do a test call tomorrow from your truck to me so I can talk for 30-60 seconds? Crazy I know, and I wouldn’t ask but this is driving me nuts. No worries if you aren’t comfortable I know it’s an odd request.

It’s hard to believe that any CarPlay doesn’t echo so I’m trying to rule stuff out before I consider the costly 2020 HU upgrade.
