Hey guys, Im looking at leveling/lifting my 2019 tundra. Ive viewed bilstein, Eibach, Fox, and Icon. Im not sure how rough country vertex v2 is? Can anyone help me out with some opinions? I dont wanna go crazy but id like to fit 33-35” and I wanna tow mildly with this truck (Camper here and there).

Rough Country suspension is like putting cheap Wally world tires an expensive sports car. Most of us here on average run 295/70's which is a 34. There are quite a few with 35's and larger, but more is involved such as trimming fender liners, trimming skid plates, cab mount chops, bumper shims, etc. Wheel offset is another factor. As far as leveling, the Bilstein 5100's are popular for that. I would highly recommend talking to @memario1214 (Colton at Hotshot Offroad). Tell him how you want to use the truck and he will set you up with what will work the best for you. I see that you are fairly new to the forum, but I can tell you that he is our go to for our truck toys. He can get you anything that you need...suspension, wheels, lighting...you name it.

There are a lot variables here…

Are you off roading? How heavy is the trailer? Is the trailer near the Tundra’s max towing?

If it’s mostly a street princess/towing duties the Eibach is a great choice. They ride significantly more comfortably than the equivalent Bilstein 5100’s for daily driving but still handle rough road extremely well. You don’t have a location listed but this is especially noticeable in the cold (the Bilstein’s in general get very firm).

It all depends on your budget. I will l let ours chime in on the more expensive options.

Oh, that’s cold! The coldest it usually gets in my parts is about the 20’s. I have used multiple different Bilstein shocks on different applications (4600’s, 5100’s,B4’s on Tacoma’s, 4Runner, Chevy Suburban, and currently a RAV4). The cold characteristics is my biggest gripe with Bilstein. They are very good underload but there are better options for a mixed use vehicle.

I do not have any experience with Fox or Icon. I would definitely suggest calling as well. For an entry level shock the Eibach is a better choice IMHO and experience.

Dobinson's 5+2 or 7 leaf packs and lift coilovers plus shocks. Good stuff and Exit Offroad can help. Ironman 4x4 greasable shackles and poly bushings for longevity. Use extended bumpstops with lift springs or you will ruin them.

+1 for Colton. Recently purchased the Eibach Pro-Truck Lift Stage 2R from him. Installed the rear shocks last weekend and the ride on the road is very comfortable. Looking to install the front coilovers / shocks within the next few weeks.
