Anyone else on this thread experiencing warping of the plastic parts around the grill? This is my second set of plastic grill parts. I just bought the truck in February. I live in Southern California, 10 miles from the beach. Toyota is refusing to help with the issue!! The new parts started to warp just 1 week after they were installed. Toyota North America said the issue is my fault, that I am parking somewhere hot. The car sits in my driveway 95% of the time! So frustrating. I am talking with lemon law attorneys. The color matched parts look great, but the cheap plastic warps. Has anyone else experienced this?

Picture might help. I don’t know what part you’re referring to.

Haven't experienced it, but I'm disappointed that Toyota is blaming you and not addressing the problem....

If your truck sits in the same place a lot, is it possible a reflection from a window is concentrating light on the spot? Or is it on multiple locations?

I don't get why Toyota wouldn't foot the bill to replace it. Its relatively a cheap part compared to most warranty claims.

I don't remember reading a maximum parking temperature in the manual. Raise more hell with Toyota

My car sits in the driveway 99% of the time. It is not near a window. A $50,000 truck should not have this problem. I only have 8000 miles on the truck. I am having the engine looked at for excessive heat.

I agree bud -- a truck at that price should absolutely not have this problem -- will be interested to hear what you find out. Good luck!

I lived in Hawaii for a year with mine and no such issue ever occurred so that is BS on Toyota’s part
