I need a bit of help: My”bitch in the Box” audio system for the navigation system can’t understand me. I did the voice recognition thing several times. She constantly gets my instructions wrong, and my wife’s as well. So: I took the truck in for it’s 10,000 mile check this week and discussed the issue. The dealer techs said that the system wouldn’t take updates and ordered an entire new radio. they said that it isn’t behaving as it should.

Ok. Got that. However, I’m wondering if entune is still active for 2019 vehicles and older? The reason I ask is that I also have a 2020 Rav 4 hybrid, and a while ago they told me there was a new toyota app now and that entune was being replaced by it. I had a hell of a time getting both vehicles enrolled in it, but managed. Now I’m wondering if the nav system won’t update because it’s looking for entune and not this new toyota App?

Any info you can give me would be a big help before I go back to the dealer and go struggle with them. They have ordered a new radio unit, but I”m wondering if it’s simply not doing updates because entune is missing?

    Cheers
    John

The 2020 has Entune 3.0. The OEM radio sucks and the volume control is horrible. I'm putting my 3 yr old Pioneer and Maestro in mine.
