I recently purchased a tow behind camper, when pulling the camper a dash warning comes on intermittently showing that the camper has come unhooked. When this happens I don't loose camper lights or camper brakes. It's annoying mainly because of the BEEPING!
    Anybody else have this issue?

There’s an ECU update for exactly that problem. Find someone with Tech Stream to update your trailer brake ECU

If you’re in Central Texas, I can help.

Thank you! Unfortunately I'm in SC, I'll see if I can find someone local that has Tech Stream.

If not, then the dealership can do it. They may charge you for it. The update only takes about 20min from hooking up, to removing.

    Yup.
Had that same TSB on my used 2019 when purchased at 48,000 miles last year.
Annoying that first trip, beeping every mile. TSB covers it for free up to 30K but I got burned for $200 bucks for the update which has completely cleared the issue.
Toyota doesn't consider it a safety issue. How so? Did I or did I not have trailer brakes when that intermittent message came up? I bitched a little that should be covered as it was a programming issue from day 1, but that got nowhere with dealer. Previous owner must not have ever towed.
