Looked on CarsGuru yesterday mainly just to see how many 2018s are left out there. There seem to be quite a few around DFW. Seeing some advertised prices @ 14.5% off list I was curious to see just how low the dealers would go. Has anyone ever sent offers to dealers just kind of testing the waters to see what happens. I am thinking right now you could get a dealer down 20% off MSRP. If I did not have a bunch of money invested in my 2017 I might get a little more serious. Toyota has sent me 2 postcards in the last month trying to get me in to a 2018. Yesterday I tried to get pricing from a dealer using a fake email address. Either they are not willing to drop their price or they are catching on to my use of Joe Blow when I do this. It worked last year at several dealers.

Emailed a dealer in DFW area and they offered 15% off MSRP on a white Sport CM 4x4.

I’d say 15% off MSRP is a solid deal. I got the exact truck I wanted for that and was happy

10% off MSRP plus 2500 rebate is about 15% off. Solid deal.

I was thinking about this, too. They have a decent deal on a 2018 which is about 14.4% off MSRP and that is including the $2,500 rebate. I have a 2017 right now and if that became 20%, I would probably pull the trigger. Not sure I want should do it but they sure are trying to get me to do it.
