Took my 2018 Tundra in for a recall for the pre collision sensor back in April. This was a software update. After they were done another recall came out for the actual sensor to be replaced which I had to wait to get. From then on I would start my truck up and every light on my instrument panel lit up and every malfunction code was on. Gauges wouldn’t work or anything. I would drive a little ways and shut it off and turn the truck off and some would go away. Drive a little more and turn it off and back on and all gone except engine light. Take to Toyota and they said instrument cluster went bad. Replaced. Two weeks went by and I just took it back in because it did it again. Another instrument cluster failed. All this started after the recall update and no problems with it the first year before. Below is a picture. Anyone else had thisproblem?

Toyota called yesterday and said there are broken connectors in the wiring harness and needed replaced? This is a new truck so doesn’t make sense.

My guess is the dealership diagnosed the problem incorrectly the first time. It’s amazing to be that we don’t have more problems with new vehicles. Between the roughly 30,000 individual parts, lines of code, electronic modules, the pressure on vendors to provide quality parts at a low price, etc.
