in my 2012 Tundra the 12 volt (cigarette lighter) plugs would cut off when the vehicle was turned off. the 2018 Tundra does not. I plug in a video camera placed on the windshield and after turning the key "off," the plug remains in the "on" position and can remain that way for hours. Shouldn't these plugs lose power when the vehicle is turned off?

Which outlet are you using? I wish that I had one that would charge my phone with the vehicle off.

I had to do a mod to get that always-on feature. :D

That's what I thought too. I wasn't ready to tear into my brand new truck yet.

I know what you mean but it's not that bad. Check out my mod videos.

Interesting. On my 2018, the 12 volt plugs turn off with the key?

I use the one on the right to run my dash cam.
