    they only have it for tundras up to 2017. apparently they have been working on the tuning for quite awhile with no results.

    I was emailing with them for a while asking when it would be ready. They have been great and responsive. I don't think it's Magnuson. They're waiting on the tuning for the 2018s and were hoping it would be ready this summer. That obviously didn't happen.

    Short answer: not ready yet.

    I have no idea. Doesn't sound like Derive has a ton of money. Can they comply with the EPA and DOJ settlement and stay afloat? Can their tuning comply? I have no clue. I expect statements like this create a little pucker effect for other similar companies, and then have a trickle down effect to Magnuson.

    “Manufacturers and sellers of automotive emissions control defeat devices should stand up and take notice of this settlement,” said EPA Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance Assistant Administrator Susan Bodine. “EPA will protect air quality by vigorously enforcing the Clean Air Act’s prohibition on these devices.”

    So as Vizsla said, tuning for the 2018 s/c might not be coming out anytime soon. It does explain why SCT wasn't able to provide the tuning to Magnuson.

    You are right this doesn't sound good for performance mods for truck motors. I know DAP will tune a SC but in person only. EPA where fun goes to Die!

    And under the terms of the settlement, how are they going to retrofit the tuning for the Magnuson superchargers if it was noncompliant? Is it possible? Sounds like a mess for them and Magnuson.

    There is a way around this gov regualtion. State that the vehicle is for off road use only. Orange virus tune has created a nice tune for the tacoma over at tacoma world forum. He’s currently developing a twin turbo system for the tacoma. It can be done.
