So I finally got time to stop by a dealership and checked on the pricing. The Costco Membership does not do me any good by the way though this is the dealership that Costco appointed me to. Anyhow long story short, I kinda verbally haggled and this is what I was offered
    SR5 5.7 4X4 CMax
    + window tint
    + factory running board
    + spray bed liner
Thaz it. No Rims or any special edition packages. $43k Drive out, is that fair?
*mind you Texas TTL is around 3.3k.

what about other packages like SR5 upgrade? 38 gal tank? it's high for a no-option SR5 but if it has the upgrade package that's not bad

Think I paid $36500 before taxes and fees for mine (I don’t remember out the door). Some will tell you prices so low that I don’t believe. If you do your research online, and see what the fair price is going for, don’t rush things and are okay with the agreed upon price then go for it. It’s your truck and your money.

$5k off sticker was a good deal for ‘17s.

    Not sure on ‘18.

Can we put a stop to all these threads that remind me how much I overpaid? It would be appreciated.

I’ve been going back in forth for over a month with multiple dealerships. 2018 Tundra DC SR5 with same (basically) options as yours (BUT) with TRD package. Just under $42k otd is the best I can get over email. Probs knock another $1500 in person?

Yeah...that’s the part I can’t do. I’m too impatient. I have a need for instant gratification. True story: I once paid for overnight shipping on a rubber snake, because I didn’t want to wait three days to scare my family with it.

I agree, seems high for base package judging by how much I paid for my 2017 SR5 with upgrade & package & bells & whistles.

I paid 47 for msrp of 50 including Texas TTL. The way they wrote up the deal I got an extra 1500 on my trade... they could make it less complicated lol

Ignore Tax Tag and Title from the discussion. It's a non-negotiable item and clouds the ability to compare cross-region.

I'd say in my experience, getting 10% off MSRP is very good. Most dealers won't go 15% off MSRP. If you get into the range of 10% to 15% MSRP, you are getting a good enough deal.

When I bought my last truck, in engaged with 6 dealers. Some offered no discount. One in particular offered an exceptional discount.

It pays to find a motivated, volume based dealer.

That does seem a little high, but all these new trucks are a lot more expensive than they have been in the past by a couple grand. You best bet is to wait until about Aug/Sept when they start doing more rebates and incentives. I think I got almost 3k in incentives when I bought my truck a couple years ago. They will want to move them to make way for the '19s.

Just make sure you don’t get raked over the coals in dealer fees if you’re ignoring TTL... sometimes they like to hide things in that middle section of the contract details. Around here $150 for a doc fee is reasonable, but some places try to charge $500. That's one example.

Every dealer is saying that the 18's went up around $3k. Every dealer I talked to has then at that price

    I guess it all depends....
Pricing out on Toyota.com gets you:
    37,860 MSRP 2018 SR5 CM 4.6L w/ SR5 Upgrade (larger tank)

    41,515 MSRP 2018 SR5 CM 5.7 4x4 FF w/ SR5 Upgrade +options (Entune Premium sound)

have to go option 2 for cement... website didnt allow cement without 5.7FF 4x4 and SR5+ ... I imagine the dealer has more options though...

I see a regional offer (not sure what's in your area) for 2k cashback.

after cashback you're down to 39,500 - then he's knocking off an additional 4,800 (assuming 3300 for TTL)?

If it's real - SNATCH IT UP!
