2018 OEM LED headlights on 2017 high beam issue

So I bit the bullet and bought a set of OEM LED headlights for my 2017 along with the harness to make it work.
All seems to work well until I hit the high beams. The high beams will activate but the low beams deactivate, and I can’t see anything that is immediately in front of me. I can’t recall if the old headlights were like this, but I wanted to ask if anyone who has done this retrofit has encountered this issue. Ideally I’d like to have the low and high beams activate at the same time when I turn on the high beams.

 

Normal ops. Turning on high beams turns off low beams and fog lights.

 

So the 2018s and up do this out of the factory? I can’t see anything 10ft in front of me with only the high beams on.

 

Headlights have been that way for years.
