    Hey Guys,

Does your tundra engine sound like this? I swear this lil click/tick is new but Toyota told me its normal.

I recently had my cam tower leak repaired back in May. Everything is running great. Maybe im just losing my mind.

What do you think it could be? I only hear it when the truck warms up.

Not normal. Did you verify oil level?

Just had an oil change and that’s same time Toyota told me it’s normal. I’m headed to a different dealership tonight to take another look. I didn’t think it was normal. I think that same stealership is trying to cover their ass after the headache I went through with the cam tower leak repair. I think it’s a chain tensioner issue. Which I heard is common after that big repair.

Any feedback on what you guys think it could be. Belt is new, belt tensioner is new, water pump is new.. chain tensioner is not new.

Do they have a used one sitting on their used car lot? If so, ask them to start it up and see what it sounds like.

Just confirmed it’s a lifter. Courtesy of the shitty stealership who did my cam tower repair. Getting it fixed next week.

Reason # 1 if mine ever leaks it's not going to the dealer. I'll consider it a frame rust prevention package.

Which dealership told you that this is normal? Public humiliation is a great deterrent, so this is the place.

If all else fails, find an import mechanic that was a Toyota mechanic who is now on his own. He will fix it. Fortunately, it sounds like you found a dealership that will take care of you now. Hold them to it. There is no shortage of lack of accountability these days. Dealerships have always been bad, really bad.

Yeah I assumed it was fishing. Didn't know that you had to back a truck deep into water to fish

Yeah it’s definitely necessary if you want to slay the big boys.
