I was on the fence for a while too, but eventually decided i already had enough or maybe even too much chrome to begin with. I would like to colormatch and eventually completely dechrome. Imo you have just the right amount of chrome for that tastful chrome look, you dont need more. Id go Pro, but you do you

So forgive me, I haven't read all 16 pages. I have a '14 with the led drl's. Does the I hacker harness for the led headlight upgrade change the headlight over so that the low beams remain powered when highbeams are engaged with the new led headlamps? I was curious about this and today I stopped by and verified the ledsl' lamps indeed keep power to the lowbeam in the '18/19 models.
    Thanks!

@iHacker im not much of a vehicle guru so I’m not sure which headlights my truck has right now but i really want to install the 2019 TRD Pro headlights onto my truck. I have a 2019 TSS and here’s a pic of it so hopefully you can determine which headlight i currently have to see which harness i would need. Thank you in advance!

Pretty sure that since you have a 2018+ with currently led lights all you would need to do is order the pro headlights and swap them in to your currently equipped oem harness

2018-2019 SR5 still need a conversion harness same used in 2014-17 Platinum/1794 trucks. Really easy and 100% PNP plus no need to rewire the turn signals with all my kits.

A big thanks to @iHacker for putting together a top notch, quality product. My only regret is not doing it sooner.

Once installed, the new headlights really make you realize just how poor the stock halogen light output really is. The bonus is how much better the new headlights make the truck look from a pure aesthetic point of view.

If you are currently on the fence, get off of it! You won't regret your decision one bit.

After one year of working without issues one of the headlights quit working tonight. Using harness from iHacker and using motocontrol. Driver side working without issues but other side just quit working. This is 2018 LEDs and bit over year never gave me any problems until tonight.
Any idea or tips what should I do or troubleshooting this issue? Have no idea where to start and how to resolve plus ugly Chicago winter killing me, I need to minimize my time outside to resolve this issue.

Thank in advance for any help.

    It’s probably the moto control.

I too bought a harness when the 2018 led first came out.

I just recently bought from ihacker the new harness that doesn’t require the moto control and now my hi beam worked.

It stopped working on one side previously.

Just curious why not both headlights didn't go out if is motocontrol? Would be weird to one light still working. Also day light quit working too not just headlight. I'm bit lost.

    LKSR5,

I’m not sure why but my moto control didn’t show any signs of corrosion. It was mounted downward and stayed dry but for some reason it only lasted for 1 & 1/2 years also.

I would contact ihacker and order the new harness. This way your system doesn’t rely on another part.

Also ihacker instructs you to switch back the turn signal wires back to original specs this way everything is back to the way the truck was designed. His harness adapts to the original wireing. Truly a plug n play set up.
