I have the old oil question for the flex fuel tundra. I have a 2018 ffv. Did the requirements change for changing every 5000 miles. I looked at the maintenance schedule and compared to the 2017. The 2018 doesn't mention anything about being a ffv. 2017 it states change oil every 5000 for being flex. I looked in both owners manual and the maintenance schedules doesn't mention anything about when to do oil changes for a ffv. Can someone tell me the right answer. My old 2015 got changed every 5000. Covered under toyotas first 2 year plan. New plan maintenance schedule only says regular 10000 mile oil changes

Just trying to get an answer soon since I have 5000 miles on the truck already

If in wrong section please move

Same engine so it should be the same schedule.

I also have a 2018 FFV and the requirement is to change oil/filter every 5K miles if you don't run E85, if you do the interval is cut in half. Make sure you look in the correct Maintenance & Warranty manual, there are two, FFV and non FFV. You can also get the information of the Toyota site in case your dealer tries to tell you that the oil/filter change is only required every 10K, you have Toyota Care so they have to pay for it.

    None. Keeping this one stock.
Don' confuse using E85 and oil change interval with normal pump that has up to 10 percent. If you run e85 then yes. The interval is shorter.
