2018 bed twist

    Just purchased a 2018 SR5, 5.7L, double cab. When I hook to my 8000lb camperwith the sway bars attached, and turn to appx 30°, my bed twists and I cannot open the tailgate without a lot of force. Has anyone experienced this? Causes? Toyota doesn't seem to have an answer yet

    Yes I have seen this on my first gen Tundra.

    The camper company installed some heavy duty 90 degree braces in the bed and stopped the torque twisting of the bed so that the tailgate opened/closed without rubbing.

    It's not a factory fix, but the camper company knew about the bed twisting....
