I had an electrical short in my steering column while driving. Smoke started coming from inside the column. My truck is stock everything electrically. Only a suspension lift and wheels and tire change.
Once i got it home i disconnected the battery to keep anything else from happening. So i decided to look for the issue. After pulling the the airbag and the steering wheel i noticed the brunt wires. I also had some interior fuses blown. After chasing the burnt sections of wire led me through most of my main harness up to the middle section behind the radio. It seems like it started in the Airbag clock spring. Has anyone else had this issue?
