Am I missing something or is there an issue.

The window buttons on the door light, but the lock/unlock do no light?

I think thats how it is unfortunately. Look closely, the window button is somewhat transparent, the door lock buttons are not.

Edit - Now I'm second guessing myself but it's too bright out to tell.

Yup this truck was engineered over 10 years ago.. the power window switch is unlit also unfortunately.

not sure what toyota is thinking. tacoma has a longer history, yet 2017 tacoma has doors that are backlit.
