Hello all. Weird thing, I noticed 2 times in the last 3 months when slowing down into a corner and then accelerating, it appeared that the transmission slipped for a moment. Has this happened to anyone else? Why would it do this?
    Thanks!

Did you mean more of downshifting? It’s takes time for the computer to learn your driving patterns.

Yes. I would say that it should have downshifted but instead it revved for a second without pull.

Have you noticed the traction control light is flashing when this happens? I had a panic moment when that happened to me on a rough corner. Rev but no power to the wheels. TC light flashing, so it made sense why.

Mine did this occasionally too. Oddly enough it stopped as soon as I tuned the ECU. Hasn't happened in over a month.

Also, I didn't believe it to be a slipping problem, more of a computer trying to figure out how much you were going to lean on the pedal to choose a gear. It was literally a split second then it would gear down and go.

Ok. Sounds like the same. I just never noticed if the tc light came on.
Thanks everyone for chiming in. Im from the old school, so this happening usually turns into a major issue on older vehicals.

Turn off Traction control (hold down for 3 seconds, lift button, then hold down for another 3 seconds) and flip to manual shifting mode completely for a few days if you need peace of mind confirmation.

Mine started slipping at 2,000 miles or so. It would rev high then catch hard, causing tire spin. Progressively got worse and they had to replace the transmission under warranty. I forget what part failed in the transmission, I believe it was a seal.

They put it a remanufactured transmission and I havent had any issues since.

This was my first new truck, I was quite heated at the time. Things happen, that's why they have warranty's.

Hopefully it is just your truck learning your habits. I think our trucks shift higher going downhill from first to second.
