I need to replace the DRL/Front Turn Signal bulbs on my 17 SR5. I ordered an LED pair from Lasfit but they are not compatible with the 17 wiring...I got a hyperflash after 45 minutes of use.

As I understand it, the 17 wiring is different from the 18 and up models.

I want to get some amber LED’s asap that are fully compatible.

Please let me know what you 17 guys are using.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Do I need any other adapters or just the VR6 bulbs?

I only needed one resistor per side leds front and back; just mounted a resistor behind the tail light assembly, there's a perfect mounting location there.

or you can run these types of Lasfits, they're insanely bright; have them on both my 4Runners.

Those are the Lasfit bulbs I had...they did not work properly. After 45 mins of use, I got a hyperflash. Do they work with the resistor installed? I bought the bulbs with the CK socket...not sure if that is the issue or not.

They seem to be excellent quality with great output...they just don’t work properly in my truck.

I run a single resistor on each side behind the front headlights on the 4Runners (better mounting location), even with those those style Lasfit's; must be why I haven't had any issues.

Check out as my build page. I listed some LED switchbacks that have been working great since I got them. You will have to run resistors, and I did that through my tail lights since it was easier for me
