My 2016 tundra tailgate won't unlock/ lock with the key fob. It makes a noise like it is working, but won't unlock or lock. Is this just an adjustment I can do?

Remove the panel off the tail gate. Operate the lock/unlock and see what’s going on. It should be pretty simple to see the issue. The solenoid just mimics what you’re doing when you turn the manual key lock.

That happened to me as well.
I opened the tailgate, made sure everything was in place, and lubed everything up.
    It's worked fine ever since.

I used firearm grease to lube it.

This video will give you an idea of taking the panel off and what you'll find in there.
I installed the Pop and Lock on my Tundra.
It starts at the point of removing the panel and installing the mechanism..
No need to disconnect the battery for your job.

    Good luck.
