Long time lurker first time poster! I’ve owned my 2016 Tundra TRD for almost two years now. 100% bone stock.

I have a valentine one radar dector mounted to the window with the suction cups and I had it powered to the back of the mirror using two metal clips you pushed into the back of the mirror clip. I’ve had no issues for two years. Yesterday while driving home the radar detector fell jerking the wires out as I was driving. Within a few mins I noticed I’m having major issues!

    1. None of the driver and passenger windows roll down.
    2. Back rear window won’t roll down.
    3. Air bag light on dash is on.
    4. The AC will not work. When it first happened I had a slight breeze but controls wouldn’t work. Now even that has stopped.
    5. The built in compass in the mirror stopped working.

Any suggestions where to start??! I found myself under the hood popping fuses but didn’t see anything bad. It’s too dang hot in the south to have no windows and no ac. Thank you for your time!

    Alot of them
Sounds like a short happened during the fall. Have you checked the fuses under the dash? Be sure to check all of them.

Like he said, make sure the fall didn’t strip the wires and now they’re touching causing a short.

It was getting dark last night so I started under the hood last night. I plan to resume shortly after I get done with work. That drive sucked terribly with no windows and no AC and it’s not even hot out yet.

I did look at the back of the wiring harness and everything there looked fine. I’m assuming as it jerked it’s self out the two leads I had plugged into the harness touched for a split second as it fell.

Is there a particular fuse that operates the windows and AC together?

Anyway to check the square plastic fuses/solenoids that are located in the fuse box?

Really hoping it’s not the BCM or something similar.

First, Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! But that is an awful way to be brought into the group. If there is a short anywhere, you will have a blown fuse. The issue is finding it. I would start by checking all the wires and connectors going into the rearview mirror. If you find the fuse and replace it without correcting the short, it will just blow again. I hope it doesn't come to this, but you might have to start checking every wire. This thread with all of the Tundra wiring diagrams might help, but it is a massive amount of information:

Just double checking you see the "under dash" part here - look inside, up under the driver's side by the black plastic kick panel. There's a long rectungular box with a cover that has window and interior fuses.

Looked through all the fuses and I didn’t notice any that were bad. Went ahead and set up an appointment to take to the dealer next week.

    7. 5A ECU–IG No.2 Fuse, it powers the mirror, AC Controls, Windows and other things.

It is in the interior fuse box, drivers side under the dash. Pull the fuse all the way out and make sure it is good. I suspect it is bad and replacing it fixes your issue.

Does the AC control panel light up at all or does it seem dead?
