Hmm I have been wrestling with this for a bit, thought I would post for comment.

    2016 Tundra SR5 Double Cab with 5.7V8, 60K miles

I was checking for codes with my Innova 3160d code reader and there were zero codes on the driveline etc with is the standard ODBII interface - great! And my reader can look for "enhanced" Toyota codes, so I took a look and I got the codes listed below. :-(

    A few points:
    • Oil is correct weight, top of dipstick mark, and has 2K miles on it
    • No unusual noises, no ticking, the engine seems to run and pull fine
    • Coolant level fine
    • Battery voltage is correct both engine off and on - battery terminals also cleaned
    • If I erase the codes they come right back immediately (engine on)
    • Engine/body grounds look good, added an additional ground to test, no difference
    • No CEL indicator on dash - I can see the CEL light if ignition on so I know the light bulb works
    • I saw a few mouse droppings on the top of the engine, but no nest or other signs
    • I inspected the entire wiring harness from the sensors/actuators to the ECU plug on the firewall and no signs of rodents or issues
    • There was another almost identical thread on this forum with many of the same codes, but the conclusion was not clear other than a mention of a blown head gasket (!!!)
    So a few questions:
    • Should not this these codes generate a dash CEL?
    • I am second guessing the Innova since no CEL light is on and no "standard" ODBII codes are in play and no external symptoms. Is this being desperate?
I think my next approach will be to do point-to-point continuity checks on the wiring harness. Given the errors on both banks, and the MAF errors, it sounds like an electrical issue. I can pull and test to see if the actuators are working too.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated of course!

    Cheers,

    Mike
