2016 SR5 Dome light not coming on with door open

Greetings all,

So our 2016 DC has a dome light that does not come on when you open the door. I have searched this and confirmed that.

-The dome light works with the little switch on the actual light.
-The switch by the drivers left knee is in the door position.
-The delay is set for 15sec in the head unit

I find it hard to believe all 4 door switches are bad, also the on/off/door switch does absolutely nothing. Based on all this my logic says that on/off/door switch is the issue but I wanted to see if others have been down this road before I order a $75 switch.
