My front brakes aren't working properly. I bleed them and fluid is coming out like it is supposed to but my front brake dont seem to be working. I have brake pads on there from rock auto could that be my problem

We need way more information. You shouldn't have to bleed the brakes if all you did was install new pads. It's not a bad practice, but not necessary.

Also what brake pads specifically did you get? They sell a ton of different brands and grades of pads.

Lastly, did you resurface or put new rotors on? I'm guessing no to both of those, and the brake pads simply aren't seating well. Did you do any sort of break in procedure?

I put the heavy duty brakes and rotors from rock auto on and i didnt bleed them until about a month later when the brake pedal was spongy and have to use alot of pressure on the pedal

Okay.....any specific brand? Not that is really matters at this point.

Did you clean the oil off the rotors before you installed them? Also, I'm simply guessing the pads weren't seated well which would explain a spongy pedal feel. You could take the pads off, clean them, and try to lightly sand them if they are glazed. Do you drive with two feet, meaning you rest/hover your left foot over the brake pedal?

Okay. Best of luck! I don't think you necessarily need OEM parts, but certainly something got messed up along the way. Just make sure you break in the pads properly.

That doesn't make sense. They don't have just "Heavy duty brakes". They have multiple different brands available. Centric, Monroe, Raybestos, Bendix, ACDelco, Wagner and more.

And no problem. It sounds like a bedding issue. Were they bad from the start after install, or did they get worse?

The power stops kit in the heavy duty section is what i bought brakes and rotors and they got worse as i drove it they where fine at first and now they suck ass and i replaced them a year ago if that helps and when i took them apart to sand and clean them there was still 90%pad leftand that was a month ago

Hard to tell... they worked fine and then they didn’t. It’s either the parts are crapping out or the pads were high performance and not seasoned properly or something is off in your system. Since you bled them and apparently there were no leaks or frozen calipers... and you could tell with the truck up how they are actuating... removing and sanding pads is a PIA and really points to something else. These are essentially new brake ads and rotors!
I have the same truck and went with OEM rotors and TRD pads (online price matched by dealer) after looking at a lot of stuff online, slotted discs and on and on.
The difference is very noticeable and much improved. So far so good after 5k.
