What’s up everyone, I just wanted to share my experience. I have a 2015 Tundra SR5 5.7l, roughly 103,000 miles. I had a check engine light come on, the OBD scanner displayed a P0171 Lean (Bank 1) and P0174 Lean (Bank 2).

After reading a couple of articles and videos, they all led me to a possible vacuum leak. After checking all my vacuum hoses, I found a hole in one of the hoses coming off of the cold air intake and it was loose as well. Although I didn’t think the small break was causing the check engine, I cleared the codes to see.

A few days later the CEL (same codes) returned and shortly after I started hearing a whine. I also noticed my fuel economy had dropped a substantial amount. I was able to locate the whine coming from the throttle body, which had came loose and the gasket had tore. No fault of Toyota, shortly after purchasing the truck in 2015 I installed a Spectre cold air intake and a throttle body spacer. The 4 bolts on the throttle body should have been re-checked shortly after install. Issue fixed, and whine stopped.

I had already loosened the bolts the rest of the way, the picture was mainly for the gasket.
