So my cats got stolen a while back and I replaced them with aftermarket cats. The check engine light came on shortly after the change out. Got it scanned by a buddy and it threw codes for the cats. I’ve been driving it like that for 3+ years with the check engine light on and no issues at all.

Took it to be looked at by the dealer and they are saying the only way to get the check engine light to go away is to reinstall OEM cats, I’m not spending that kind of money on it.

Question is, is there a way to bypass the signal or do something to stop the check engine light from coming on without replacing the cats?
