If you had this happen to you, save yourself the hassle of trouble shooting and high dollar service charges. My radio started shutting down periodically, key fob would not work as well, had to turn off engine and restart. Then radio shut off for good, key fob would not work, air bag light and traction control stayed on. Change your Brake switch!!! I know it sounds crazy, but Toyota's wiring is a major headache, one thing can affect many other components, I've been driving and servicing all my Toyota's for over 50 years. Try this, it's an easy $30 fix! God Bless!.

Never heard of that, but that’s cool! Mine did the same thing and was fine after applying an update from Toyota.
