A while back I purchased the Sony 9500es and install kit from Crutchfield, including the Maestro RR, To, and wiring harness they put together for me. Only my dash speakers have worked since day 1. I confirmed power was getting to the amp per their recommendations but still no sound through the door speakers. The other day, after almost a year I decided to take everything apart to see if I could figure out the problem. On the main harness, they have the remote turn-on wire tapped into the amp as it should be. However, the speakers that are powered by the factory JBL amp are crimped together as well. From the wiring install instructions (see attached), it looks like they should not be connected. Could this be my issue? Should I remove them?

Yes. They should not be soldered together. Only the rcas (white and grey sets) are plugged into your Sony radio. Then the amp will direct the signal to all your speakers.
Make sure your wiring look just like the photo from maestro’s instructions. That should fix your no sounds issue.
