I had a parking sensor go bad after I went through a car wash. I bought a cheap one on Amazon and it immediately threw a code after installation. I remove the original one from the car, and then removed the plastic circular retainer as well. There is a rubber boot that surrounds the actual sensor itself. You can pull that down a little, and when I did there was water/moisture in there. I took a hair dryer and dried it all out, reinstalled it, and it worked.

Attached is a picture with the little rubber boot pulled down a little. Bring it all the way down, dry it out, and it might work for you. The real ones from Toyota are 150 bucks, might as well try.
