    Hello,

Looking at upgrading my rear leaf springs. Noticed today while messing around underneath my truck that my rear leafs don't seem to be in the best of shape. Any recommendations for rear leaf springs. Possibly an AAL just to give it a little more help.

    Alot of them
The OEM springs sit pretty flat even when new. At 115K, they are pretty worn, so an AAL won't help much. A few of us have custom packs from Alcan Springs. Call and ask for Lew. He can build what you want to support weight, lift, towing, etc.

Agree with the above posts that a full new spring pack would be the best option. Alcon and Deaver are the two most popular, and I think you can’t go wrong with either. I’m a little over 60K miles on my Deaver U748 pack with zero negative results. But, they do lift the rear…

Yes, please try these HD ones and report back. Inquiring minds want to know… err.. inquiring minds already know.. ya. We’ll go with that one.

Honestly, though, the General Springs HD units are the most cost effective route. A single add a leaf installed at my local spring shop is well over $400. Most other off the shelf leaf packs are past $1000. The general springs are less than $600 shipped. I have ordered springs from them in the past without issue, but I promptly sold the vehicle so I can’t speak for longevity. I did contact them about the HD pack and they advertise them an additional 600 lb capacity. If you are empty most of the time, that may give you a little lift or make for a stiffer ride.

this is all great info!! Thank you so much. Reached out to Alcan and got a quote for 1k for rear springs with 1" of lift. The Exit Offroad seems like a great product I just don't want 2.25" of lift in the rear. I will look into the General Springs.

Has anyone had a bad experience with old man emu rear leaf pack? They are quite a bit cheaper and can get 2.5” of lift

I've had OME suspension on 2 vehicles and they were great. Ride was good, seem like quality components.
