Need some help. 2 years ago I had a 6" ProComp suspension lift put on my 2013 Tundra. About 8 months later I started hearing lots of creaking coming from the left rear. I noticed the left shock had failed and was leaking badly. Took it back to the shop and they replaced the shock. As for the creaking noise it is either the shackles or the springs. About 8 months after the shock was replaced I noticed it had failed again. Truck has never been taken off road and it hasn't been used to haul anything. What could be causing the shock to fail? Possibly a symmetry problem when they did the lift?. I also wonder that when the truck is put on a lift at the dealership for an oil change and the suspension drops could the shocks be over extending and rolling the seals. I'm suspicious that they installed something incorrectly while putting in the lift, the spring / shackle creaking noise and the failed shock occured almost at the same time

Yea I was thinking the same thing but I was hoping to get some input from other people just in case ProComp tries to blow me off.

Shocks are likely the wrong spec, ie the travel max and minimum don’t match the new lift. Probably over extending it and blowing the seals out.
