2013 Stock HU Signal Issue - NON JBL

Hi folks and thank you for taking a minute to review.


Short Story.
Bought this truck which was imported from Canada as Used.
While test driving noticed the stock HU sounds has pretty bad.
All output power is being routed to Passenger Door.
Has a lot of static and feedback unless the station tuned has great reception.
So I replaced the door speakers assuming one was blown.
That didnt change anything.
I researched the Stock HU and T dealers want $1700 for a new HU.
Thinking that was a bit much I found a used HU on ebay for $80.
Replaced the HU with the original and have the same exact issue.

I was hoping maybe to replace HU with aftermarket, but dont want to go through the effort to have the same issue.
I also am not 100% sure some aftermarket mods haven't been made, but when I saw the crappy quality of the door speakers I assumed that was not the case.

At this point I was thinking maybe amp is hidden or other component is bad.
I even called Canada dealer and gave them the VIN, to which they also confirmed no amp.
FYI I check under the PASS seat and nothing there see pics below.



My question is do you think I had two bad HUs or is something else going on. I cant find any real proof of custom mods. here are some more pictures.
