2013 Sequoia Limited to TRD FAUX build now with BOOST!

Booster that I need to be accessible if I need to bring it elsewhere is in its "permanent" home, I have another external antenna and an AC powersupply.

I think it throttles after 500GB (which I have never used on my cellular plan) but it's to 4G so who cares?

Yep, you did. Looks great! I was able to throw my old ones on eBay and recoup about $150. As for the wheels, I personally love the LC heritage ones, and thought about getting them myself, but they seemed to negate all the blacking out I was going for. Plus, they are very hard to find for a good price.

 

I just let whatever play on Netflix & thought about editing it when I saw what it was but figured, pretty ironic really.

I'm completely blacked out but feel the bronze will look good with the silver. I'm not "allowed" (yea right), to spend any more right now so the wheels will come next year (unless I find a deal) So far it's looking like 460 per from a dealer.

 

I ordered this jack online, after 3 days no ship I looked & it's backorderd. HF said 20+- day (no promises) back order, call stores if you want one. Took calls to 6 stores, finally found one that had one & after a 60 mile round trip, it's mine. It's every bit at least 70 pounds (in the box)

 

Keeping in the vehicle? or just for home?

 

After I get it assembled & see how heavy/how much space it takes up I'll see. Leaning towards only in the truck if I am planning on going offroad.

First use, going to tackle the rear Dobinson shocks & airbag install.

 

Lay out some zip ties and small pebbles to test it

 

Jesus! I HATE THESE SPRINGS!!!! (moving them) just under 2 full hours to get the spring out, airbag in & new shock in.

Thought I posted this last night Hopefully the driver side won't be such a hemorrhoid. (taking a break, might do it tomorrow)




I did take a break & just did this:

All done, drove around over several speed bumps, no noise, feels great!

 

Can you do a test with and without the booster from the same time to see the difference in speeds?

 

Next time I'm out I'll run the test both ways.

Geez! Are those 2.5" springs!! I always thought you could slip the airbags in-between the springs???
I know the Dobinsons have more coils and are closer spaced than the stock. That stinks!

 

1.75" lift, the driver side was not as big a deal, loving finally having the bags & I like the Dobinsons so far.

Also, even with the springs fully out, the bags were a hassle to get fully in, I still had to compress and hold them with wire ties which were a PITA to then get off.

So glad to be done with this, front dobinsons will be a cakewalk comparatively.

 

Holy smokes, you compressed the shit out of that rear spring! The difficulty I had was around seating the tip end of the spring in the groove for it in the cradle. The fork spring compressor did not make that easy. I still need to run the air lines on my bags. Haven’t put much thought on how to do that just yet.

Even that compressed I still needed to Jack the suspension down to get it out.

Running the air to the bags was not a problem EXCEPT getting it into the bags, if I ever do it again, I'll put the hoses in first.

 

Fringe area, better down marginally worse up which I don't care about, either way better than 2000's DSL lol

Yesterday, I took my wife to the airport, loooooooooong line for baggage check. A young couple are behind me, she has no concept of personal space and repeatedly banged her bag into my leg. After about the 5th time, I put my wife's bag behind me, hint not taken, she banged into it repeatedly.

They had those Disneyland ropes with turns in them and at the final turn, she pushed her bag literally alongside me. My wife says in Spanish at a reasonable volume listen, young lady, you are not getting anywhere any faster no matter how far into our space you push yourself.

The "man" says you can't yell at her. I say no one is yelling and she has been banging her bag into me for 20 minutes, respect my personal space. He says I am yelling at him, I say you must be quite the petite flower if you think normal volume is yelling, we are all in the line and no one is getting anywhere faster by pushing.

He says I am a stupid old man and tells me to shut the f00k up and I say I will not, you are the rudest young man I have seen in a long time, I am certain your parents would be ashamed if they knew how badly you treat your elders, At this point, the girl is mortified looking away and I say you are embarrassing your friend, he says I don't give a fook.

I said just stay back and that was that. It amazes me how obnoxious people are.

On the bright side, this happened:

I was keeping it together for my wife, she has serious anxiety issues especially when traveling. I was astounded she jumped in.

I was not even complaining, just tried to stay away from the girl. (who was at least 20 but as her rude friend said I'M OLD)

Her flight ended up being delayed for over 5 freaking hours. The drive from Guadalajara to our house is over 3 hours, our son was sitting at the airport waiting for her for over 4 hours.
