We lost our shepherd & a week or so later got a puppy so progress has stopped for now as he needs alot of attention. In a week he has learned how to use the dog door, stairs and begun his training, I hope to get back to the tree next week.

Sorry to hear about your dog. You can never have enough time together.
Good luck with puppy training and continuing your build!

Thanks, it sucks but part of the deal. There are a few pictures of her on our last trip last year, in this thread and a bunch in the dog thread.

2020 Steeringwheel came, airbag "scheduled" to deliver Friday.

I cleaned & slathered it with leather conditioner.

I say "scheduled" because FedEx has been sucking lately.

This is something I have been wanting to do since I got my sequoia. Was planning on going with one specifically out of a 2014. If you do not mind let us know how the install goes.

I just checked the little covers that go over the cruise control lever & the other side that covers the T30 torx to remove the airbag, they are different. The one I got is for 18-20 Tundras, these are the part numbers I ordered, 45187-04010-C0 45186-04030-C0 I'll post if they don't fit.

2008-2013 is the same as 2007-2013 Tundra.

    2014 got the facelift wheel.

Also, the 2020+ wheel is nicer.

Connectors are different & I realized I have HVAC controls I never use. Ordered the 2014 harness, looking for the HVAC switch.

Airbag came, liking the new wheel!
Waiting for the harness, no switches but all I really used was volume so I can stand it.

So, all the buttons will never work? If they will, is there any way to link the HVAC into the wheel like the original? That is what is keeping me from a wheel swap. I rarely use my buttons now, but I don't want to give them up either.

Right now, the harness is there connected only to the ground on the airbag so I have my horn. I bought a 2017 Sequoia wheel, that also does not have the HVAC controls but has the right harness to go into my clockspring (that is the first issue) I am hoping it will connect to the switches in this wheel, if not I'll move it's switches over.

2017 wheel and it's switches came, I got 90% of my function back (no climate control which I never used) but had to swap the Sequoia switches into the Tacoma mounts (I like the black)

I like the 2020 perforated leather better but the 2017 is in better condition. Decisions, decisions.

Pretty sure that 2020 steering wheel has an aftermarket cover stitched over it. Never seen a Sequoia with an OEM perforated wheel. I started seeing wearing on the brand new leather wheel after only 2-3k so I wrapped mine with perforated leather. If I'm right, cut the cover off and see what the leather underneath looks like.

The 2020 is from a 2020 Tacoma. The 2017 is from a '17 Sequoia. I'll most likely send the 2020 out to be recovered in Alcantara or something.

No one answered so I bought the entire dash wire harness for 500 bucks. Be nice if the cluster harness comes out on its own and its connector into the truck is the same.

you can buy replacement leathers to redo the wheel also. I would advise against any Alcantara or suede on the steering wheel, it would get too dirty and degrade very quick.

I had Alcantara on my 350Z wheel and liked it. Right now my focus is on the cluster.
