Was rear-ended by a Dodge truck. No frame damage. After repairs, the fuel gauge showed empty with 1/2 tank remaining. Removed the fuel pump\sender. Old one on the left, new on the right. Crazy!

Replacement took about 90 minutes. Much simpler that I anticipated. No skid plate to remove on a Sequoia! Drove it to almost empty, jacked up the drivers side about 18", floor jacks supported it. Used the jack to support the tank. The support rails swung down after removing the 2x 10mm bolts. The front of the tank dropped low enough to access the top to remove the old unit (snipped the plastic clip holding the fuel pump wire harness to the tank. Reattached with the zip tie.). After pump replacement, did everything in reverse. Problem solved!
