For real though, just OEM replacements not an option or just looking for budget suggestions?

If you sell me your headlights for $200, you only spent $800. That sounds better, yeah?

Better yes but I’m in no rush to have to do headlights again honestly my next $200 will probably be on tails. I have been looking for a clear lens version of these.

So I’m ready to finally pull the trigger on some headlights. Looking around $1200 for the pair.

    Options so far are:

    A) Morimoto XB LED
    B) Alpharex Nova Series
    C) Form Lighting Sequoia Headlights

I really like the Form lighting but can’t tell if they work with the motorized level on my truck. So I’m leaning towards the Alpharex.

    Any feedback is appreciated!

The Form Lighting Sequoia headlights set are great quality but unfortunately do not have the motorized leveling function. I didn't have that option on my Tundra but they are really easy to adjust manually.

My OCD wants any option in my truck to stay. Lol. It’s one reason I haven’t changed bumpers yet. I want something that retains the sensors.

I think I’m going to buy the Alpharex’s. I’d like the Sequoia ones, especially if they retain the level feature, but 2k is a little crazy.

I went with the Morimoto XB lights back March of 2020. The passenger side housing had condensation build up but their customer service was awesome and warrantied them in February of this year. No issues with the new design so far.

I ended up buying the form lighting lights today. Seeing some videos the DRL’s on these and the OEM vs the Morimoto and Alpharex are what did it for me. I never use the headlight level function, so I decided I’ll lose that function. But I will be putting in a blank cover of that bc not seeing the dial will help me forget that I lost it!

Good choice! Those were definitely not available when I bought my Morimoto’s lol. I’m guessing all you have to do is color match the panel under the head light and order a TRD Sequioa grill and you’re all set?

This forum is bad for my wallet and my relationship with my wife lol.

I think you're really going to be happy with the Form Lighting set! I live in Idaho and everyone drives a full size truck here, I get lots of looks and comments about my truck, especially from other 2nd gen Tundra owners. Most say that they don't believe my truck is a 2007, the modern look from the DRL's off the 2018 Sequoia make people think it's a newer model truck. The DRL's are also very bright!323885278_2764230670380919_2906284445394110420_n.jpg

I have Morimotos in my 370z and love them. But the shape of the Sequoia/Form lighting units also look more modern to me.

Yeah, I’ll need to get the trim panels painted to match. Might try it myself.

I have the Rock Warrior grill and think I’m just going to stick with that and see what it looks like.

I rattle canned my trim panels, grille surround, and door handles myself. Local autobody shops here wanted to charge me way too much! I watched some YouTube videos on spray painting plastic car body parts and went after it. I used dupli-color Toyota Superwhite II and spraymax 2k clear. I think they came out pretty good for a novice.

I have slim LED light bars mounted in my grill now. So I think I’ll see what it all looks like first.

I picked up some dupli-color primer, Toyota white paint, and clear. Also some 600 grit sandpaper. Did you go through all that or just paint and clear? I’m not great at painting, I can at least admit that.

I used a scuffing pad, paint adhesion spray, primer, paint, 2K clear. I also lightly sanded/scuffed between primer coats. There's some really good videos on YouTube that walk you through it step by step, I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for those videos giving me the confidence to paint them myself.

Started the installation process. Working on prepping the panels now. Will paint this week and install this weekend to finish it up!

Couple of questions for anyone with the Form Lighting headlights. Is it normal for the gap around the grill? Upper inner corner of each headlight. Does the Sequoia grill change that?

    IMG_1480.jpg

also, are these just the VLAND headlights repackage as Form Lighting?

I bet you the link way above, VLAND, and Form are all the same. Maybe Form is giving better warranty? I may reach out to them just to see what they say.

Im fairly happy with the way the trim pieces turned out. Still feel kind of plastic to me, but maybe I need to give the clear longer to dry or give it a few more coats.

Came out great! The difference between Form and Vland is that Form Lighting's warehouse is here in the United States. All customer service issues are handled by them stateside.
