2012 with engine knock/ tick

I am looking to get into a tundra and saw this truck on facebook marketplace. Just wondering if someone would take the time to take a look at the listing and video of the engine running with the noise and lmk what they think it might be? It doesnt sound deep down like a rod or piston. From what I have been reading the 5.7 are known to have timing chain issues and possible valve rocker issues. I was told today the noise is only when the engine warms up.

I have to wonder why the seller made no attempt to clean the truck.

 

Where to start with this one. Uh, hard pass for me. I’m not buying anything from a guy named “Galileo Humpkins”. Tires hold wind? Wtf does that mean? No one says that. Whole thing stinks. $5k for a 2012 with 180k on it? No way. He knows what’s wrong with it. It got parked because it broke. Now he’s gonna send it to the next sucker. Assume it needs engine replacement if you truly want it, price that out, then figure out if the truck truly has any value to it.

 

They are a noisy engine, but not that noisy imo. Sounds like a big problem to me.

Yeah the more I listen to it and found out that engine doesnt make the noise when cold screams bad bearings, wristpins or piston slap. If it would be valve train it would be making the noise when cold. I was pretty shocked at how much even a used 5.7 is! Spend 6 grand on an engine swap only to have a bad transmission, I will pass.
