    Hello all,

Was hoping to find out which wire in my headlight bundle has the cargo light in it installing a 3 way running board light and am looking to tap the wires right at the headlights instead of in the truck cabin. Have the blinker and running lights covered .

If anyone has advice on this be greatly appreciated

Get a continuity checker, something like this....

    https://www.amazon.com/Sperry-Instr...words=Continuity+tester&qid=1598584108&sr=8-5

Put the spring clip end on something grounded, like a bolt or bare metal or a known ground wire. It won't test through paint. With the probe end, touch one of the wire ends and see if the continuity checker lights up. Now you know what wire is hot and if it's switched or not... The end of the probe will pierce the wire insulation, so you can check that way as well. The plastic should reseal itself, but check the wires in a place that won't see water.
