Sounds like it will need another brake job soon - turned rotors are a band-aid. I'd say $33k is definitely high. How high? I'm not sure. $5k? $10k? More?

The hitch on the front would have me looking elsewhere.

    Welcome from NY.
I'd off them $25k. I think that front hitch was used for a tray or a bike rack, can't really use that setup for a plow unless it's one of those cheap lightweight push plows. The hitch looks fairly new and in great shape so I think it was for a tray or bike rack.
    Good luck with your decision.

2012 'sounds' fairly new, but it is a 13 year old vehicle. No matter how well maintained, they still age. I wouldn't want to pay more than 20k for a 13 year old truck.

Better to give 30 for that vs 75 for the new garbage from Toyota. At least you will be driving your truck, not getting towed in for a rebuild. Check for cam tower oil leaks, valley plate coolant leaks, and a missing rubber seal on the radiator cap. Those seals fall off and can get lost in the water jacket, pump, t stat, etc.

Well, I kinda want a new truck. Been a while since I drove new vehicle. Besides, they blow up less these days. Also, even bottom of the barrel SR is miles more advanced than that 2012 thing is.

If it was this $30k used vs $45 brand new, id take my chances! I mean, cmon...33 grand for that?! 4k dashcam surely costs a lot! Its ridiculous to even include that into 'features'.

I agree with you on them throwing some kind of accessory holder on the front - two reasons I don't like that,
    1. Suggests the rear hitch was already "in use" meaning they likely towed something with the truck.

    2. I'm not a fan of placing something in front of the radiator then driving on a long trip. Maybe it was fine, maybe it was taken on long towing trips with diminished cooling ability...

I just paid 32k for a 2020 with 85,000 miles, 3 months ago. While that 2013 is a good truck, it has age. Is only worth that to the owner. 22k is a fair (still high) price.

Truck seems nice, unsure what current value is, but it is absolutely crazy that truck probably sold for 34 brand new

@AZBoatHauler is dead on with that front hitch. Plus it's a puck lift in the pics. I wouldn't touch the truck at a reasonable price, and this is insane pricing.

As others pointed out, it's old. It's behind on tech and safety, regardless of the "low" mileage. I put that in quotes because it's got oversize tires. That means that, unless they recalibrated the speedometer, that truck has more miles than the odometer reads. That means it's gone longer between services than claimed. It all adds up to being run hard.

The price is absurd. It looks like they just paid for a bunch of services to try and sweeten the sale, but are trying to pass that cost onto the buyer. With the state of dealerships these days, it's a 50/50 at best if they actually did any of the work claimed anyway.

Then they put LEDs in halogen housings. Tells me their they either did no research (dumb) or did the research and didn't care (ignores data) that doing that causes scatter and blinds oncoming traffic. If they are dumb, they don't know how to take care of it. If they know and ignore then they probably also overloaded the truck because payload ratings are for the commoners. They don't apply to cool guys like him.

TLDR; overpriced and too many red flags

I know we are in a different market and have had lots of inflation, but I bought that same truck in
charcoal one model year newer for $35k in 2013. They had big rebates before the 14 refresh. Makes it hard for me to pay that much used.

If it had meticulous records I may consider it, but these engines tend to run a long time, and when the price drops a lot for 100k mile plus trucks, that is what I'd look for. A one owner, well taken care of truck. I did love my RW. Great truck.

A year and a half ago I bought a 17 limited TRD with 32k miles for 35k$. Cherry, every maintenance interval accounted for. Had no mods done, but I am very leery of other people's work anyway. Also, I find it hard to believe a Lexus dealership even possesses a brake lathe, much less someone who can use it.

He has $5k in "suspension" (puck & airbags), wheels, and tires. Another $1200 or more in recent dealer services (within the last year).

He's expecting you to pay for all of it. Sounds like he reads just enough internet (Gen 2's are going for high resale)x (LOW MILEAGE BRO!!), but not enough internet (aftermarket add-ons never get recouped in a sale or trade-in). This assessment is consistent with the comments made about his use of LED bulbs in halogen housings.

He's about $8k too high on a good day. Pass.

edit: Also, in my personal, d-bag opinion, "Rock Warriors" are silly without the thing that makes them great: The OEM Rock Warrior wheels.

They don't have a lathe, they outsource that kind of thing to anyone who does, whether it's a local machine shop or a mom n pop tire shop.

My brother bought a truck similar to that, with probably half of that done. 160K miles at the time.

He paid $16K or so. I'd definitely say that's high.

I'd say it's about $7-8k over what I'd be willing to pay. Especially since he sold off the RW wheels. $26k would be my top end. What's the frame look like? Where has the vehicle lived?

Edit: A quick nationwide auto trader search shows a good number of vehicles available in comparison with less miles and less money. Some similar age, quite a few much newer. Parameters I input were
    Max milage 60k
    Max price 33k
    4x4
