2012 Easy Lower and Lift Tailgate

Hey friends. I’m new and just got this truck and it said it has a “Easy Lower and Lift Tailgate”. Daggum thing is so heavy I thought they meant a lift gate but I gather it means a gate that will go up or down with remote or cab button but the remote I received doesn’t have this button. If anyone knows about this pls send me some info and if you know where the cab button is or can send a pic of the proper fob I’d appreciate. Thx

 

that's not a thing. 3rd gen tundra has button to lower only. new gen 2024 tacoma has up and down.

there is a strut that may need to be replaced on your truck that'll lower it slowly
