2011 Tundra radio out but music still plays by Bluetooth from phone

Hi All,

Odd situation I think as my radio controls and lights are out. All other dash lights and outlets under radio console are all working. The volume and up/down buttons work from the steering wheel and my phone auto connects through Bluetooth and music from my phone plays fine. I just use the steering wheel controls now.

Any thoughts as I have checked all the related fuses under the driver side and under the hood.

 

Hate to dig up a four year old thread, but figured no point in creating a new thread when I’m having the EXACT same issue!

2011 Tundra, plays music from my phone, but the screen isn’t working and neither are any of the buttons. No fuse issues.

Anyone ever had this issue? Is there a fix?

 

Can you hard reset it? Like push and hold power button for awhile. Or can you remove the dash and fully disconnect it from the truck? Maybe those would help.

 

I hadn’t thought of pulling and disconnecting/reconnecting the radio.

This is apparently a known issue as I’ve found other threads on it with no concrete permanent fix. What’s crazy is I did find a thread suggesting hitting the radio as a quick fix and sure enough… that works. Now I’m sure it will do this again, but at least for now I know the quick fix.

 

Time for upgrades.
