Any pro's know if Toyota used form a gaskit to seal the transmission pan?

I know Form in place gasket was used on 1st Gen tacomas. Is Toyota still using liquid gasket?

Reason I ask is a buddy bought a 2011 and I noticed it has a conventional gasket. Has or has not this pan been dropped? It would seem odd for a Tundra with only 80k on the clock to have had the fluid/filter changed out.
