Drove Truck. Parked. Drove Truck again. Parked again. Then when trying to drive 5min later, no crank no start.
    • Lights Include: A/T OIL TEMP, Check Engine Light (CEL), Battery Light.
    • Initially 4-Lo blinked as well but only the one time.
    • Battery was replaced 2-3 months prior.
    • Hard Code of P0335: Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit "A".
Can hear a single light clank/clunk noise when attempting to start and what I think is the fuel send unit very briefly.

I replaced the Crankshaft Position Sensor with OEM Denso part and got the same results. Old sensor seems to be working as it can slightly pickup light metal objects.

If left in the on position after attempting to start can hear buzz from the TB. IDK if that is to be expected. Video on same channel.

Very odd and unfortunately haven't been able to determine cause, likely to end up in a shop...

First rule out the starter by jumping the relay. These starters go about 210k miles give or take about about 25k miles. The buzz you hear is the fuel pump.
You can try to remedy the issue, by repositioning the steering wheel slight higher and closer to the dash, or tilt and push and pull while turning the key to see where it catches and lock it in place.

Camshaft position sensor is probably not thale cause. It is throwing a code because its not starting, so the signal is not where its supposed to be.

Are the copper contacts on the relay the pins I’m supposed to jump?

Sometimes as primitive as it sounds, beat on the starter body with a big hammer. If the brushes are stuck it will release them generally.

I had a triple A tow truck driver try this. After beating on something for 5 minutes ans no start, he stood up and asked me whete it was, lol... its easier said than done. Both heat shields gotta come out to see it

I tried jumping those (pins on right side of relay spot) and it sounded like the pinion gear comes out but doesn’t spin/engage the engine (speculation lol). Can‘t hit the starter unfortunately with the heat shields on.

the 4-lo and vsc light also started to appear after attempting to jump the starter relay.

Yes, more than likely your starter is dead. Just to confirm 1 click and no spin.

That code is probably crankshaft position sensor.
