I have a 2011 Tundra TRD with 5.7. Anyone have good experience with a performance chip or system? I installed TRD dual exhaust and a K&N Cold intake.

No. Chips, tunes, CAI, not going to give you much if anything regarding HP/torque with the 5.7.

Lower gears will make it feel much faster. But if you want a real HP increase, look into a supercharger.

Definitely agree on gearing, and can only imagine the huge gains to be had with a supercharger.

Tuning has been discussed in depth on this site, and it’s widely recognized that peak gains are pretty minimal. But, there are some very tangible gains that are available with a good tune. While I only see about 7hp and 17lb torque PEAK increase, the rpm range where good increases came in made a very nice difference. My peak torque used to be around 3,850 rpm. After tuning, my peak torque is now it 2,900 rpm. Made a substantial improvement for towing, as I’m in the 2,900-3,000 rpm range when climbing hills in 4th gear. Then you add in the transmission control improvements….

An off-the-shelf chip will not get you what a custom tune will.

Sell your CAI and put the stocker back in. That will be the easiest improvement you can make. Also, sell the TRD exhaust and call Keith at @dirtydeeds for a better option.
