So my 2010 Tundra when you hit unlock button on remote sometimes two doors unlock, sometimes one will unlock, sometimes none of them unlock, driver side doesn’t unlock at all without the key and the passenger side front rarely unlocks, back doors sometimes, sometimes not, unlock button on the door doesn’t make it better it’s the same off and on like it is with the remote, what should I check? Thanks!

Sounds like you may have some actuators going bad. There’s a guy on eBay that sells refurbished OEM ones for around $60 with a lifetime guarantee, you just have to send the old ones back. There are some do-it-yourself videos on YouTube on how to repair them. It’s a $6.00 motor that goes bad. You just have to be careful not to break any clips. I did buy one from the guy on EBay and didn’t have any problems. He does include a prepaid label to send back and they are pretty easy to replace. This is who I used Hope it helps

Ok appreciate it, do you have a recommendation of a do it yourself video to use?

Ok, so any idea how I can determine which door Actuator is bad? So I know which door Panel to remove first? I’ve researched and found id hear strange noises coming from the door, well when I press the button on the passenger and then the drivers side door I hear the same sound coming from neither door but actually from around the fuse box on the drivers side under the dash, there’s actually a fuse marked door lock and the fuse is good I checked it, did yours do this also Danny?

The doors that don’t do what their supposed to when you hit the buttons on the fob probably have bad actuators. It’s not that unusual to have more than one fail. You could start by just doing one and see if that’s actually the problem and you aren’t wasting money.

Got it! I’ve ordered a motor for the actuator so I’ll replace that in the current actuator and see what happens, driver side doesn’t unlock or lock at all so I’ll start with that one, thanks!

Are you replacing the actuator or just the motor? If you’re doing just the motor, be VERY careful not to break any of the plastic clips. Good Luck

Yea already broke the clip that you push in the center of it to release it on the top right panel that is separate from the main panel try to put it back In so now I gotta try to find another one of those, other than that the rest survived
