Hello! I recently paid $1,500 for a no-start truck and figured I'd figure out why since it only has 58,000 miles and it's and beautiful condition. Previous owner claimed to have paid someone to replace the main body ecu, I found that the wiring harness beneath the fuse box under the hood of the truck had turned into a snack for some rodents, the previous owner had obviously not noticed this. This seemed to fix a huge array of electrical issues in the truck after fixing it, but the truck doesn't start, and all I get is a rapidly flashing check engine light when the key is in accessory mode. I suspect the culprit is the replaced body ecu which has "2008 Tundra" written on it, unfortunately whoever did this job absolutely butchered the wiring harness, and used crimps to connect all the wires, none of which seem to match the wire it's going to. I'm looking for a part out truck to steal some pig-tails off, as well as the ECU. Does anyone know what compatibility the main body ECUs have on these trucks throughout the years? Does it need to be an exact year match?
