I have been aware this is a problem for some time, but my Tundra bed is now rusted thru and going fast. A friend of mine bought a used 2010 from a dealer 7 years ago and noticed that the steel was swelling in all 4 corners of the bed. The dealer told him it was a common issue and a manufacturing issue. They replaced the bed on his truck no charge. Anybody else dealing with Toyota on this issue. It's absolutely a failure due to the manufacturer. My truck has been parked indoors and with a tonno cover since new, so this is not an issue of having been kept in the weather. The bed is also sprayed with line=X spray on bed liner so all the rust is from below at mounting points.

For rust the worst you can do is to keep it in indoors in humid climate. No air moving - no moisture drying. All my vehicles live outside. I've seen enough flaking rust on garage-kept BMWs and such.

    Many on the way.
Back in 2019, Toyota discontinued the service campaign for this problem. They will probably say no to performing any work on it. T-SB-0101-12
