    hi
after pouring through threads looking for a solution to cranks but wont start i thought id share and maybe save someone else a f****king fortune.
so turn the key. good crank
    check fuel= no fuel.
    well 110k fuel pump right?
towed it to a garage so they could
    1) replace the fuel pump $1400.00
    still no fuel
    2) replace the fuel pump control computer
    still no fuel
    3) replace the inline fuel filter
    still no fuel
turns out it was the chip in the key was bad
after $2000.00 worth of the wrong stuff it was a $40 key chip!!!
    hope this helps somebody

Funny you post this today. I literally had a thought this morning that I had recently seen a lot of Crank No Start post or even No Crank No Start Post. Then thought maybe a generic post with ideas to start self diagnostics would be helpful to users.

I stumbled across a couple YouTube Videos that do a really good job of diagnosing both is these.

The best tip I got from these videos was where the tech unlocked the truck, got in, noted the red security light flashing for the alarm, stuck the key in the ignition and verified the red security light went off completely. Had you know this prior it would have really helped you. Some skip directly to trying a second key also.
